As all of you have been able to see, lately there hasn't been much going on here

It's gonna change! Say, yeah! Yeah!

Yeah.

It's hard for me to vote regulary on your wonderful works because I'm here all alone - I created this group to collect the best art, the art that inspires ME. Obvious, I vote subjectively but I have good taste!

I tried to "hire" some contributors but it sucked - some of them didn't know how to vote, some accepted photos that I didn't like or didn't accept works that I loved - I understood that I have to do it on my own.

I'm sorry for these last 2 months but I'll try to do my best and vote on your deviations regulary.

I love you and hope you love me

68. Hero And when it comes down to it, they say the hero is the one to save the world. The one who carries the burning branch and sets the evil being afire with their goodness and dignity. The one who can stand atop the mountain and laugh at the world, and have every right because they were the one that allowed it to continue in the first place.

The one who deserves the praise.

No one ever mentions the people who helped them get there, of course. They never speak of the close friends that carried the hero on their backs when the going got tough, who fought alongside them and pushed them up to that mountaintop; it's conveniently forgotten that thos68. Little Raven Little Raven

Aged.
Weathered and ancient.
Bursting, overflowing,
With magic and laughter.
My new home,
Of ancient spells
And magic that
Turns you mind, your heart,
Upside down and inside out.
And yet,
The ache,
That always returning,
Fear or heartache,
Loneliness.
A little Raven,
Wings black like midnight
Clouds,
Falling through endless
Eternity driven circles

Over The Top Darkness smothering them.
They are huddled in the mud.
Damp seeping through,
Chilling to the bone.
Dark, unfriendly.
It's cold.
Cramped close for warmth.
This hell,
Not fit even for the rats or lice.
A flash in the starless sky;
A flare,
Lighting pale, frightened faces.
They scramble into positions,
Fingers numb, backs stooped.
As they await command,
The sounds of shells and guns overhead,
Falling, falling
Terrifying.
And then…
They go over.
